Man wanted in Upshur County

BUCKHANNON – An Upshur County man indicted for allegedly delivering a controlled substance near a school is currently wanted by the Upshur County Sheriff’s Office.

On Sept. 23, the Upshur County Sheriff’s Office announced on social media that Joshua Dale Cutright, 36, also known as “Cutty,” was wanted for a Capais warrant after failing to appear in court.

Cutright is described as having “numerous tattoos” and is believed to be in the Upshur County area.

Cutright was among six individuals arrested by the Mountain Region Drug and Violent Crime Task Force in May. On Sept. 10, he was indicted by the Upshur County Grand Jury for delivery of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school, fentanyl, and conspiracy to violate Chapter 60A, Article 4, Section 401 of the W. Va. Code, both felonies.

The Upshur County Sheriff’s Office asks that anyone with knowledge of Cutright’s whereabouts should contact 911, call the Sheriff’s Office at 304-472-1182 or contact the Sheriff’s Office through Facebook Messenger.
