The Inter-Mountain photo by Edgar Kelley Leading Creek firefighter Donald Bennett spent part of Friday waving an American flag on the corner of Railroad Avenue and Randolph Avenue in Elkins. Bennett stood across the street from the All-Veterans Memorial with a flag that featured the names of all the first responders who lost their lives on Sept. 11, 2001. Bennett, who has been a LCVFD member for 30 years, has honored the 9/11 heroes by waving a flag on the same corner each Sept. 11 for the past 14 years.
