BOWDEN – Randolph County Sheriff Rob Elbon confirmed Thursday morning that the vehicle of a missing Berkeley County man was discovered in the Bowden area of Randolph County, and that law enforcement is currently searching the area.

Elbon told The Inter-Mountain that the vehicle was found Monday and that officers from multiple agencies have been searching for the past three days. Elbon said close to 50 officers were scouring the woods on Thursday morning.

Elbon said the man’s name was Brent Rees and that he is “an at-risk Marine veteran.” He reportedly was last seen leaving his home in Berkeley County on Oct. 8. Rees is listed as being 5 foot 9 inches tall, weighing 210 pounds with brown hair and green eyes.
