BEVERLY — The town of Beverly and the Beverly Heritage Center will host the annual Beverly Old-Fashioned Christmas on Saturday, Dec. 6.
A full day of activities will get underway at 8 a.m., and will conclude after the annual tree-lighting ceremony, which will feature storytelling and carol singing, in Beverly Town Square at 4 p.m.
The annual event has been one of the highlights of the historic town for the past 20 years.
“This beloved community event promises to be festive and fun for the whole family,” said Outreach Manager Emilee Goodman.
“We’ll have everything from traditional music and activities to living history, giveaways, and holiday shopping opportunities. Admission to the museum will be free that day, too,” Goodman added.
The fun-filled celebration will kick off the annual Breakfast with Santa at the Beverly Volunteer Fire Department. Pancakes and sausage will be served at the breakfast and those attending can get a photo with Santa and Mrs. Claus.
Beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday, kid’s crafts will be on display upstairs in the Beverly Heritage Brand of the Public Library until noon.
Miss Julie will have story time for children during the session at 10:30 a.m.

The Beverly Presbyterian Church will serve up a homemade lunch from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. There is a charge for the lunch, which will consist of soup, sandwich, drink and dessert.
From 10:30 a.m. until 4 p.m., crafts and treats set up in the Beverly Heritage Center. Craft vendors will feature an array of items, including those that would make a perfect gift for the holidays.
Father Christmas will be at the Beverly Heritage Center from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Children will have the opportunity to meet and take photos with old Saint Nick during the session.
