Upshur man enters guilty plea
ELKINS — U.S. Attorney Matthew L. Harvey announced that a Rock Cave man has admitted to selling methamphetamine in Upshur County.
According to a press release provided from the United States Attorneys Northern District Office, Colton Darrell Lester pled guilty to the distribution of more than 5 grams of methamphetamine.
Lester, 37, sold methamphetamine to agents on several occasions during the investigation.
Lester faces at least five years and up to 40 years in prison. A federal district court judge would determine the sentence after considering the United States Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors.
The investigation was performed by the Mountain Region Drug Task Force and the case was part of Operation Take Back American, a nationwide initiative that marshals the full resources of the Department of Justice. U.S. Magistrate Judge Michael John Aloi presided over the case.
