104 graduates receive diplomas at Philip Barbour High School

PHILIPPI — Philip Barbour saw 104 seniors receive their diplomas during Thursday night’s graduation ceremony held inside the school’s gymnasium.
Joseph Bowen, associate principal at Philip Barbour, welcomed the large crowd of educators, elected officials, family and friends assembled to celebrate the Class of 2026.
Student Council President Hailey Findley then addressed her classmates, followed by Jenna Campbell performing the class song — Landslide — along with Philip Barbour band director TJ Dalton, who provided the background music on the guitar.
Class President Lindsey Weese spoke of her special time and her classmates as well at Philip Barbour, before introducing guest speaker, former PB band director Victor Iapalucci, who served in that role for 27 years.
The Introduction and Presentation of the Class was made by Philip Barbour Principal Mary Beth Hovatter, with Eddie Vincent, superintendent of Barbour County Schools, receiving the class.

The big moment then arrived, as the 104 graduates received their diplomas while being introduced by CTE Director Tonya Ferguson and greeted by Barbour County BOE members Joanne McConnell (president), David Everson (vice president), Ron Phillips, Adam Starks and Eric Ruff.
