Campbell on ballot for primary election
Campbell
Elkins District resident Rick Campbell, who provided leadership and guidance in his 17-year career as a Maintenance Director and Electrician at Randolph County’s largest convalescent facility (EERC), is seeking to serve in one-of-two open Elkins District seats on the County Republican Committee.
A Protestant by faith, his goal is to help identify and encourage those who have a sincere interest in good government and produce desired results for our residents.
He will have reliable help at home from his wife of 25 years, Shannon Bennett Campbell, a
retired Randolph County Schools’ counselor and Personnel Director. He plans to give encouragement and assistance to those who will listen to our residents and develop strategies that effectively assist them. He believes the election process is the first-step to resolving problems and that it is important wise choices are made.
He noted, “Those involved in political life should be skilled in problem-solving and have a sincere
desire to help others. They are not in office for personal gain. They are there to represent the public and advance all of society.”
As an avid outdoorsman and hunter, he has been particularly interested in Conservation and Natural
Resources Program Development. He is looking forward to devoting time and effort toward making
our area one in which our children will want to remain.
