ELKINS – The 2026 Our Town Summer Concert Series schedule is complete and the organization has released the names of the bands and performers who will play free shows at the Rotary Amphitheater in Elkins Town Square this summer.

This year’s concerts will once again be offered on Fridays, and the schedule will kick off June 12, when Our Town welcomes Belington’s own Sodapopgypsies to the Rotary Amphitheater Stage.

All of this year’s concerts are slated for 7:30 p.m., and the Mountain State Street Machines will host cruise-ins before each one of the shows on Friday evenings, beginning at 5 p.m. The Street Machines’ events were offered on Thursdays in the past. The lone concert date this summer that isn’t on the Friday concert schedule is the Saturday, July 4 celebration.

“We are happy that the Mountain State Street Machines will be having their cruise-ins on the same evening as the concerts,” Our Town volunteer and event organizer Priscilla Gay told The Inter-Mountain. “It makes the Friday Concert Series more attractive for everyone. Last year when we moved the concerts to Friday they (Street Machines) continued to do their events on Thursday. So it is going to be nice for us to be together again.”

The Mountain State Street Machines will get a jump on the summer’s activities by hosting its inaugural Cruise-in of the year on Friday from 5-8 p.m. between the Delmonte Market and the Railroad Depot. All vehicles are welcome and those taking part do not have to be a Mountain State Street Machine member.

The opening concert of the season will be coupled with a celebration for the Elkins Depot Welcome Center’s 20th anniversary. The Depot first opened its doors in April 2006 and has since greeted more than 600,000 visitors.

“During our first concert of the year with the Sodapopgypsies, we are going to be celebrating the Depot Welcome Center’s 20th birthday,” Gay said. “We are going to have cake and have a birthday party for the Depot.”

On June 24, Bridgeport band Top Shelf will be making their return to the Rotary Amphitheater. The July 4 concert will feature Rick K. and conclude with a downtown fireworks display.

“Rick K is coming on July 4th and we will have a big fireworks show after the concert,” Gay said. “Rick always puts on a great show and we are happy to have him back for our Fourth of July celebration.”

Paul Minnich, a country singer and songwriter, will play the Amphitheater on July 10, while Ryan Cain and the Ables are scheduled on July 24. Cain, who blends honky-tonk, country, early soul and doo-wop, has performed in Elkins in the past.

Hair Supply, who played during last year’s Concert Series, will make their return on Aug. 14. Fleetwoods Heart will cap off the season on Aug. 28. Both bands are from the Charleston area.

Hair Supply is a 1980s rock tribute band that recreates hits from artists like Poison, Warrant, Bryan Adams, Foreigner, Billy Squire, Journey, Loverboy and more. Fleetwoods Heart will perform hits from the bands Fleetwood Mac and Heart.

“All of the bands we are bringing in this summer are from West Virginia,” Gay said. “We are really happy with the lineup we’ve put together and hopefully people will come out and have a good time.”
