Teter CEOS meet for May

The Teter CEOS met at Noon on Thursday, May 21 in the Fellowship Hall of the Tennerton United Methodist Church.

Nancy Ward read devotions entitled, “An Enriching Experience” and “I Saw God Today.” Grace was sung by all and a meal served by hostesses, Barbara Hinkle, Penny Haymond and Nancy Ward was enjoyed.

Debbie Hinkle called to order the meeting and the Pledge of Allegiance to the American flag was recited by all. Penny Haymond, Iris Perry and Catherine Giro have birthdays this month.

The strawberry basket made by Cynthia Parker won first-place honors in the Basket Contest during the Strawberry Festival. Kay and Lowell Wayts won several ribbons for their quilts at the Strawberry Festival Quilt Show, with Kay getting the Peoples Choice award.

Suggestions for a July outing were discussed with plans to be made at the next meeting. The next meeting will be held on Thursday, June 18 at noon in the Tennerton UM Church Fellowship Hall. All are welcome to attend.

The lesson, “Fairs and Festival Series–100 Years of the State Fair of West Virginia” was given by Kathy Black. The State Fair at Lewisburg celebrated 100 years in 2025. It was briefly interrupted during World War II and COVID.
