Upshur grand jury indicts 20
BUCKHANNON – An Upshur County grand jury returned indictments of 20 individuals Monday afternoon, for charges including terroristic threats, sexual assault and delivery of a controlled substance resulting in death.
Mildred Ann McAtee, 67, of Buckhannon, was indicted on terroristic threats, and retaliation against a public official, both felonies.
In a separate indictment, McAtee was also indicted on escape from custody, a felony, and two counts of domestic assault, a misdemeanor.
Hope Renee Garrison, 38, of Buckhannon, and Zachary James Crawford, 32, of Weston, were each indicted on delivery of a controlled substance resulting in death, in exchange for money or other thing of value, a felony; and conspiracy to violate Chapter 60A, Article 4, Section 401 of the West Virginia Code, a felony.
Henry Andrew Cabic, 34, of Buckhannon, was indicted for forgery, a felony, and uttering, a felony.
In a separate indictment, Cabic was also indicted for escape from custody, a felony.
Jedadiah Alexander Stump, 39, of French Creek, was indicted on domestic violence, third or subsequent offense, a felony.
Landon William Farrar, 18, of Buckhannon, was indicted on burglary and grand larceny, both felonies.
Isaiah Hunter Thompson, 25, of Clarksburg, was indicted for possession of a controlled narcotic substance with the intent to deliver, fentanyl; possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver, methamphetamine; fleeing in a vehicle while in an impaired state; and fleeing with reckless indifference to the safety of others, all felonies; and prohibited person in possession of a firearm; fleeing by means other than the use of a vehicle; and driving while in an impaired state, all misdemeanors.
Nathaniel Gene Tyson, 21, of Buckhannon, was indicted on four counts of sexual assault in the third degree, a felony.
Jason Cody Douglas, 39, of Buckhannon, was indicted for burglary and grand larceny, both felonies.
Bennie Delmas Jordan, 56, of Buckhannon, was indicted for wanton endangerment involving a firearm; and attempted malicious assault, both felonies; and being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm; and brandishing, both misdemeanors.
Richard Glen Gordon, 44, of Buckhannon, was indicted for driving while license revoked for DUI, third or subsequent offense, a felony, and shoplifting, second offense, a misdemeanor.
Thomas D. Thacker, 46, of Buckhannon, was indicted on three counts of distribution or sale of a cannabinoid product to a person under the age of 21, a felony, three counts.
Matthew Streets, 27, of Buckhannon, was indicted on two counts of fraudulent use of an access device, a felony.
Cassandra Suzette Heflin-Rowan, 29, of Buckhannon, was indicted on three counts of computer fraud, and three counts of financial exploitation of an elderly person, both felonies.
Jacob Wayne Hill, 29, of Buckhannon, was indicted for being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm, and wanton endangerment involving a firearm, both felonies.
Joseph Harold Morrison, 63, of Buckhannon, was indicted for being a prohibited person in possession of a concealed firearm, a felony.
Colten Lee Foster, 32, of Buckhannon, was indicted for entry of a building other than a dwelling, and attempted grand larceny, both felonies.
Larry West Powers, 67, of Rock Cave, was indicted for possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver, methamphetamine; and conspiracy to violate Chapter 60A, Article 4, Section 401 of the West Virginia Code, both felonies; and two counts of being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm, a misdemeanor.
Craig Allen Stimson, 47, of Elkins, was indicted for being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm; and being a prohibited person in possession of a concealed firearm, both felonies; and driving while in an impaired state; obstructing an officer; and fleeing by means other than the use of a vehicle, all misdemeanors.
Jeffrey Clinton Rice, Jr., 50, of Buckhannon, was indicted for possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver, methamphetamine; and possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver, marijuana, both felonies.
A press release from the office of Upshur County Prosecuting Attorney Bryan Hinkle states that an indictment is merely an accusation, and that all defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
