Barbour County Fair kicks off today

PHILIPPI -- The 2026 Barbour County Fair officially gets underway today with this year’s theme, "A Walk to Remember."

This year’s fair will feature eight days of entertainment, with Irish Road Bowling and the Miss Barbour County Fair Pageant today, and a pet show, a horse show and the Miss Barbour County Fair Children's

Pageant on Sunday.

This year’s Grand Feature Parade will be Monday evening at 7 p.m. at the fairgrounds.

Carnival rides open Tuesday at the fair, and Wednesday will feature Mountain State Wrestling Foundation presenting "Last Stand of Summer" at 7 p.m.

The Barbour County Fair will once again offer two nights of ATV drag races, beginning Thursday evening with Youth Night, followed on Friday evening by the adult races.

On Thursday evening, country star Mark Wills will perform. Friday night will feature a performance by Emily Ann Roberts, while the Rick K. Rock & Roll Revue will play Saturday evening.
