Club welcomes new member Wyatt

The Rotary Club of Elkins has welcomed Jocelyn Wyatt as a new member. Wyatt is the CEO of Alight, a global humanitarian organization that works alongside refugees and forcibly displaced people around the world to help them survive and thrive.
Before Alight, Wyatt co-founded and led IDEO.org, a nonprofit design studio that brought human-centered design to the social sector and spent two decades working at the intersection of design and social innovation. Wyatt also serves on the board of Airbnb.org, which provides emergency housing for people in crisis. Wyatt and her husband, Seth Young, live in Elkins in a historic home that was built in 1923 by the Rotary Club of Elkins' second president. A.E. Bowers. Seth is a musician and directs the Augusta Heritage Center.
Wyatt volunteers locally with the Girl Scouts of the USA and is an Ascend WV fellow. She and Seth enjoy exploring the rivers of the region with their dog, Nova, hosting friends at their home, and traveling locally and globally.
Wyatt's sponsoring Rotary member was retired CPA Christy Tribble. On joining the club, Wyatt stated, “I’m excited to join the Rotary Club of Elkins because I want to get to know this community more deeply, roll up my sleeves on local service projects, and build new friendships. My work has taken me all over the world, and there’s something really meaningful about bringing that same spirit of connection and service back home to Elkins.”
