First Almost Heaven Lego Bash planned

BRIDGEPORT - For the first time, an expo is being planned in North Central West Virginia for those who love building, collecting and enjoying Lego creations.
The Almost Heaven Lego Bash is set for Sept. 25-26 at the Bridge Sports Complex in Bridgeport. The expo will be a special event of the Almost Heaven BBQ Bash.
A variety of Lego vendors, professional Lego master builders, and individual exhibitors are scheduled to take part in the two-day event. This first-of-its-kind in West Virginia Lego event will feature free family activities, including sand art, several build and play Lego areas, a Lego-themed putt putt course, corn hole, Connect 4 and other games.
Notable LEGO masters, professional builders and artists from across the country will be present, including Neil Bonness, who will focus Star Wars and Legos; Lia Chan, known for her amazing NASA builds; Emmanuel "Manny" Garcia, from Season 1 of "Lego Masters"; Mark Lorah of engineerbrickartist.com, featuring detailed buildings and art pieces; and Robert Ziccardi, who has created a variety of unique builds.
Kids and Star Wars fans of any age will enjoy interacting with member’s of West Virginia’s Garrison Corellia of the 501st Legion, which feature authentically costumed characters from the Star Wars films.
Professional face painter Cynthia Casto-Harlo, of Cynthia Casto Creations, will also be on hand creating face designs, and Gilbert's World of Wonder will craft extreme balloon creations.
Attendees will be able to search for colorful 3D-printed flying pigs hidden throughout the complex area as part of the free "When Pigs Hide" game. Fnd a pig and bring it to the Lego Bash entrance for a prize. A total of 50 piggies will be hidden waiting for you to find them.
The Lego Bash is also partnering with the Carl Hopkins WV Youth Aviation Expo to aviation-related seminars, guest speakers, rocket launches, drone flights, remote controlled airplanes, and more, all free, indoors and outside the complex.
The LEGO Bash is hosted by the Almost Heaven BBQ Bash, and funds raised will be used as seed money for next year's BBQ Bash and LEGO Bash.
