Measles case confirmed in Barbour County

PHILIPPI – The Barbour County Health Department has announced that a case of measles has been confirmed within the county.

A social media post by the department states that “1 confirmed case of measles has been identified in Barbour County.

“Out of an abundance of caution, contact tracing is being completed at this time.

“If you are having any of the symptoms below, please contact your health care provider BEFORE being seen by them so they can prepare for your arrival!

“MMR vaccine is the best prevention! Please call the health department at 304-457-1670 with any questions.”
