BELINGTON – The Mountain State Forest Festival is hosting a sanctioned National Wildlife Turkey Calling Contest through the Tygart Valley Local West Virginia chapter of the NWTF at 9 a.m. Saturday at Knot Just Another Barn, 257 Camp Mahonegan Rd. in Belington.
Registration is free and will take place at 8 a.m. The event will run 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.. Divisions include Open, Friction, and Owl Hooting for both adults and juveniles. Cash prizes will be awarded to the winners.
Committee chairs and sponsors for the event are Roger Mahanes, Jim Lemmons and Ray Mearns of the Tygart Valley Local NWTF and Knot Just Another Barn. Questions can be directed to Mearns at 304-621-1390.
