Randolph County Fair to kick off Sunday

BEVERLY -- The 2025 Randolph County Fair will officially kick off Sunday, beginning with a Horse Show scheduled to take place in the Dakan Arena at 4-H Camp Pioneer.
The Horse Show, which will get underway at 10 a.m., will feature riders of all ages competing in events including Ranch Riding, Stick Horse Race, Pole Bending, Barrel Racing and more.
Later in the evening on Sunday, the Randolph County Fair Queen and Teen Pageant will conclude the opening day events. The pageants are slated to begin at 6 p.m.
The RCF Children’s Pageant for kids up to 4 years old is the lone event scheduled for Monday. The pageant will carry over into Tuesday, when it will feature children 5-12 years old competing. The pageant is slated for 6 p.m. on both days.
On Wednesday, things shift into high gear at 5 p.m. when the exhibits featuring produce, culinary, photo, craft and horticulture items open, and the 4-H/FFA Tractor Mower contest and Skill-a-thon takes place.
There will also be a Pet Show at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday and the first-ever RCF Kid’s Kart Extravaganza at 7 p.m. The KKE will feature children 3-10 years old riding battery-operated, sit-in children’s vehicles competing in derby, pull and drag race events. Wednesday is also being billed as ‘Family Fun Night’ at the RCF. Kids 3-10 years old get in at a reduced gate admission that includes amusement rides and bounce houses.
Gambill Amusements will be operating rides from 6-10 p.m. and there will be fun and free yard games sponsored by local churches and community organizations. There will also be agriculture activities during “Family Fun Night” designed to teach kids about agriculture throughout the evening. There will also be karaoke, foam party, inflatables, carnival rides, and an ice cream social.
Senior Day will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, and evening gates will open at 5 p.m., kicking off with the 4-H/FFA Showmanship Contest. The annual ATV/Motorcycle Drag Races will be at 7 p.m. The Carnival will be open from 6-10 p.m.
The 4-H/FFA Livestock Quiz Bowl will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, and will be followed by live music at 5:30 p.m. The Kids’ Mutton Bustin’ competition is at 7:30 p.m. and the RCF Rodeo will take place at 8 p.m. The Carnival will be open from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.
A full day of activities are scheduled for Saturday, beginning with the Color Run/Walk at 9 a.m. There will be a Car Show, Craft Show, Petting Zoo, and Heritage demonstrations at 10 a.m. and the Lumberjack contest will begin at 11 a.m.
There will be a Livestock Sale on Saturday at 1:15 p.m. and Cow Patty Bingo at 2 p.m. A Greased Pig Contest is set for 3:30 p.m. and live music will start at 4 p.m. The Kids’ Pedal Tractor will be held at 5 p.m. and the Truck and Tractor Pull competition is slated for 6 p.m. The day will be capped off by a Fireworks display at 9:30 p.m. The Carnival will run throughout the day.
