ELKINS - Isabelle Hauser has been crowned the 2026 Tucker County Fair Queen, and her royal court has been announced this week.
Hauser was chosen a winner during the Queen’s Pageant Sunday, along with 2026 Tucker County Fair Teen Norah Jackson and 2026 Ms Tucker County Fair Tressica Brewer.
The royal court was chosen during the Children’s Pageant Monday evening. The 2026 royal court includes: Baby Miss Tucker County Fair Baylah Pennington; Tiny Miss Tucker County Fair Lexington Skidmore; Little Miss Tucker County Fair Chloe Boyles; Junior Miss Tucker County Fair: Amelia O'Dell; and Preteen Tucker County Fair Pepper Arbogast.
Leading up to the fair this week, many Tucker County residents spotted a bovine visitor to the area. Officials said Betsy the Cow, a beloved mascot of the fair, had "busted out of the barn" and was wandering around the county to "see what all the fuss is about."
Many people had their photo taken with the realistic-looking Betsy as she popped up in various spots in Parsons and around the county. Fair officials organized a photo contest for pictures snapped with the "runaway fair cow." Andi Quattro took first place, with Raeanna Phillips Martin taking second.
The 2026 Tucker County Fair has many more activities on the schedule for this week. A donation at the gate entitles you to a chance for a nightly prize. Food and craft vendors will be on scene each night.
Today, the Beef and Hog Shows will be at 5 p.m. at the fair barn. A cake walk will begin at 6 p.m. at the pavilion.
Rocky & Nina will provide live music beginning at 7 p.m. tonight.
On Thursday, the Goat and Sheep Shows will begin at 5 p.m. at the fair barn. A Night of Dancer performances will begin at 6 p.m. on the fair stage.
Square Dancing will begin at 7 p.m. at the pavilion Thursday night.
On Friday, the Pee Wee and Old Timer Shows will begin at 5 p.m. at the fair barn. The Tractor Rodeo will be at 6 p.m., and the AG Olympics will be at 8 p.m. at the fair barn.
On Saturday, the much-anticipated Mudbog event will begin at 1 p.m. in the upper field.
At 4 p.m., the buyers registration and meal will be at the fair barn.
At 5 p.m. Saturday, a Pie and Cake Auction will begin at the fair barn.
The annual Livestock Sale will close out the activities at 6 p.m. on Saturday at the fair barn.
