PICKENS -- A woman was arrested in Randolph County over the weekend and charged with attempted murder.
Regina Lea Collette, 45, has been charged with attempted homicide (murder), a felony. She is being held in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail on a $100,000 cash-only bond.
Collette was booked into the Tygart Valley Regional Jail at 3:20 a.m. Saturday morning.
Randolph County Sheriff Rob Elbon told The Inter-Mountain that he and his deputies were on the scene in the Pickens area late Friday night and Saturday morning, assisting the investigating department, the West Virginia State Police.
The Inter-Mountain contacted the Elkins detachment of the West Virginia State Police, but no information was made available by press time.
The Inter-Mountain will publish more details about the incident on Monday.
