BUCKHANNON - A special "fish fry" fundraiser will be offered this week in Upshur County.
Almost Heaven BBQ Bash will present an "All You Can Eat Fish Fry" on Friday from 4-7 p.m. at the Bicentennial Inn, located at 90 E Main Street in Buckhannon.
The menu will include pollock fish, fries, hushpuppies, baked beans, dessert and water. Take-out orders will be available, but will not be "all you can eat," officials said.
The event will be a fundraiser for the Almost Heaven BBQ Bash and related activities.
There will be a cost for adults, and a lesser cost for kids 12 and under.
Tickets will be available at the Bicentennial Inn, at Mama Roma’s or online at www.almostheavenbbqbash.com.
Meals will be available at the Peak Pavilion - the lawn of the Bicentennial Inn – beginning at 4 p.m. and running through 7 p.m.
Pre-ordered meals may also be picked at the rear of the Bicentennial Inn/Peak Pavilion area to enjoy at home.
The 11th annual Almost Heaven BBQ Bash took place the weekend of June 18-20 this year at Jawbone Park in downtown Buckhannon.
Thel celebration featured some of the top-rated KCBS teams in the U.S. preparing chicken, ribs, pork and brisket for judging, artists and crafters, live entertainment, delicious BBQ and a variety of other food vendors, a kids cake decorating contest, free sand art, family activities, and much more.
This year’s event also featured a variety of Lego-based activities, including age-based Lego building contests, Lego displays and demos, workshops with Lego Master Builders, and other attractions.
