Ribbon-cutting event celebrates new owners of business

ELKINS - A longtime Elkins business has reopened under new ownership.
The Elkins-Randolph County Chamber of Commerce recently joined family, friends and members of the community to celebrate a new chapter for See's Automotive, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Chris Jarrett, the new owner of See's Automotive, is focusing on carrying the business forward while honoring the legacy of the late Chris See - the longtime owner and Randolph County Commission member who passed away earlier this year – and the many years of hard work and dedication he poured into the business and the community.
The ribbon-cutting celebration was made even more meaningful by the presence of Chris See's wife, Debbie, and son, Adam, who joined in welcoming the new owner and commemorating this next chapter for the business.
Another part of the celebration brought back more memories of See. Guests were treated to free hot dogs during the celebration in honor of Chris See, as Debbie prepared Chris’s well-known hot dog chili for the occasion, adding a special and personal tribute to the event that celebrated both the history and the future of the business.
"We are excited for the opportunity to take over See's Automotive and build on the strong foundation that has been established," Jarrett said. "Our goal is to continue providing dependable service, quality work, and a commitment to the local community. We look forward to serving our customers and being a trusted part of the community for many years to come."
Officials said the Elkins-Randolph County Chamber of Commerce was proud to help celebrate the transition, and recognize both the legacy established by Chris See and the new ownership's commitment to continuing to serve the community.
"Small businesses like See's Automotive become more than a place of business – they become part of the fabric of our community," said Karrah Washington, Executive Director of the Elkins-Randolph County Chamber of Commerce.
"This celebration was especially meaningful because we were able to welcome a new owner, while also honoring Chris See and the legacy he left behind. Having Debbie and Adam there to be part of that moment made it incredibly special. We are excited to see Chris Jarrett carry See's Automotive into its next chapter and wish him continued success."
See's Automotive is located at 316 Allegheny Highway in Elkins. The business is open Mondays through Fridays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
