ELKINS – The Elkins-Randolph County Chamber of Commerce recently hosted a special Business Made Social event to celebrate the one-year anniversary for K&K’s Cafe.
The celebration was held at the restaurant’s location at 203 Randolph Avenue in Elkins, and featured an official ribbon-cutting ceremony to recognize K&K’s Cafe’s first year of serving the community.
“Reaching the one-year milestone is something worth celebrating, especially for a small business,” said Elkins-Randolph Chamber Executive Director Karrah Washington. “Behind every locally owned business are individuals who have invested their time, energy and resources into making their dream a reality.”
Business Made Social is a networking initiative designed by the Chamber of Commerce for local professionals to build relationships, strengthen community connections, and celebrate entrepreneurs. Representatives from the Chamber, local business professionals, and community members attended the celebration.
“We are proud to celebrate K&K’s Cafe and recognize their commitment to our community,” Washington said. “Events like Business Made Social allow us to bring people together while encouraging continued support for the businesses that make Randolph County special.”
The Chamber encourages residents to continue to support the locally owned business, which issued a statement at the event, saying, “Every cafe tells a story, but the most beautiful chapters are written by the people who sit, share, laugh, and return. The hum of conversation, the gentle clink of mugs, the warmth that settles in the air, these are the pieces of our story, and you (the community) are part of every one of them. Thank you for allowing us to serve you and giving this place meaning beyond its walls.”
