ELKINS - A Randolph County woman is behind bars after allegedly following another vehicle with her Jeep and purposefully hitting the vehicle twice.

Amanda Dawn Miklewski, 45, of Elkins, has been charged with felony destruction of property. She is being held in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail on a $15,000 cash-only bond, set by Magistrate Tracy M. Harper.

According to the criminal complaint, prepared by Senior Deputy A.M. Channell of the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, on July 21, the officer was dispatched to the Gum Road area of Randolph County, for a "rolling domestic between two vehicles."

Channell was informed that one of the involved individuals was at the truck wash on Old Route 219, the complaint states. The alleged victim told the officer that her vehicle had been followed by a black Jeep, which she recognized as belonging to Miklewski.

The alleged victim said the Jeep had followed her vehicle from North Randolph Avenue onto Gum Road, and then passed her car "on the righthand side of the roadway and sideswiped her," according to the complaint.

The alleged victim said that she then stopped driving forward, and that Miklewski got out of the Jeep, the complaint states. The alleged victim said she backed her vehicle into a wide spot and turned around, reversing her path off Gum Road back toward North Randolph Avenue.

Miklewski’s Jeep reportedly struck the alleged victim’s vehicle again "at the overpass on Gum Road," and Miklewski allegedly got out of the Jeep and kicked the side of the alleged victim’s car, according to the complaint.

The alleged victim "was able to back up and get around" Miklewski, but noticed that one of her tires was flat, so she traveled to the truck wash on Old Route 219, where she waited for law enforcement to arrive, the complaint states.

The damages to the alleged victim’s vehicle totaled $6,718.83, according to the complaint.
