MSFF Senior Center Fall Bazaar concludes today

ELKINS – The annual Randolph County Senior Center Fall Bazaar held each year during the Mountain State Forest Festival will conclude today.
The annual event, which has been part of the Forest Festival for more than 30 years, will be open today from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. and features handcrafted items made by local seniors.
“We opened on Monday and everything has been going well,” Penny Canfield, one of the event’s organizers, told The Inter-Mountain. “It’s always a little slower on the first day, but as the week goes on more and more people start to come out.”
Canfield said 14 vendors set up and are selling items at this year’s annual Bazaar.
“People love baked goods and our seniors have some sweets and other things that people will enjoy,” Canfield said. “Everything here is handmade and it’s a way for the seniors to make a little extra on the side.”
In addition to baked goods, other handmade items visitors can purchase at the event include wooden bowls, garden flags, decorations, jewelry, place mats, aprons, afghans and much more.
All of the vendors participating in the event are at least 60 years of age and are residents of Randolph County.
