Elkins Barn Dance Collective will host a square dance at the Randolph County Community Arts Center on Friday, Oct. 30 from 7-9 pm.
The dance will feature music by Andy FitzGibbon, David O'Dell and Rory Mullenex, and calling by Olivia Perske. Halloween costumes are optional but encouraged.
The Elkins Barn Dance Collective welcomes folks who have never danced before. Each dance is taught before the music begins, and experienced dancers often partner with new dancers.
“The Halloween dance is such a fun evening,” said Emily Miller, Augusta Heritage Center’s Chief Creative Officer. “Costumes add an extra level of joy to an already fun event.”
There is a cost for general admission. Children 12 and under will receive free admission, and students and AmeriCorps members will receive half-price admission.
