BUCKHANNON -- The West Virginia Wesleyan College Department of Music will host "FoolishFrankie" (Evan David) and Arcadia Wednesday, Oct. 28 for a master class and concert on Wednesday, Oct. 28.

Evan David, originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is now a Nashville-based saxophonist best known as "FoolishFrankie" online where he has amassed a large social media following.  From electronic wind-synth dupes to jazz trios to top 40 cover bands, he brings a versatile approach to a wide range of musical settings.

David's ensemble, Arcadia, includes two West Virginia Wesleyan College alumni, Jonathan DiGuilian '19, and Adam Bleil '19. Arcadia can often be found playing at Mario Kart tournaments.

Primarily Pittsburgh-based, Arcadia is a five-piece band performing popular video game soundtracks from throughout the decades. Arcadia blends elements of jazz, electronic music and fusion, combining original arrangements and improvisation with a unique instrumentation that features two wind synthesizers.

David has played as sideman at MagFest and PAX East (two of the largest video game music conventions in the world) and is an active contributor to the video game music community.

The group will do a masterclass with students at 4 p.m. in Loar Auditorium, followed by a concert open to the public at 7 p.m. in the Virginia Thomas Law Performing Arts Center.
