Stolen vehicle arrest made in Upshur County

BUCKHANNON - An Upshur County man received a felony charge after the Buckhannon detachment of the West Virginia State Police tracked down a reported stolen vehicle on Saturday.    Scottie Dale Hinchman, 47, has been charged with receiving or transferring a stolen vehicle. Hinchman is currently incarcerated in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail and has no bond.    According to a criminal complaint, officers responded to a 911 call on Saturday morning and were alerted that a stolen blue in color Dodge Caravan out of Lewis County was seen on the Brushy Fork Road in Buckhannon. Morrisey willing to work with officials on school aid formula fix

CHARLESTON - Gov. Patrick Morrisey said Monday that he plans to turn his focus between now and the next legislative session to working with lawmakers and education officials on fixing the troubled school aid formula. CHARLESTON - A majority of the justices on the U.S. Supreme Court said a West Virginia law prohibiting transgender girls and women from participating in sports designated for biological girls and women did not violate the rights of a Harrison County transgender girl.
