Packages leads to felony charges

ELKINS — A Randolph County woman faces felony charges after allegedly ordering illegal substances, including a pound of marijuana, to sell in a local store. Brandi Nicole Harris, 43, is charged with two counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance (marijuana), a felony. Harris was being held at the Tygart Valley Regional Jail on a $5,000 cash-only bond that has since been posted. According to the criminal complaint, filed by Sergeant J.M. County approves CVB funding request

ELKINS — The Randolph County Commission approved a funding request from the Elkins-Randolph County Tourism Convention and Visitors Bureau and certified the primary election results at its most recent regular meeting.      The Elkins-Randolph County CVB came before the County Commission seeking an additional $850 per month from the money it splits with RCC and takes in from the hotel-motel tax line item in the county budget.    County Commission President David Kesling and fellow Commissioner Cris Siler voted unanimous in favor of the increase.
