Reunion to feature Community Choir concert

PHILIPPI - The Blue and Gray Community Choir will once again appear during the annual Blue and Gray Reunion. The concert will take place on Saturday, May 30 at 3 p.m. at the Philippi Baptist Church on Court Street (next to the Courthouse). This year’s concert will continue the Choir’s series of Reunion concerts first begun in 1989. The program consists of a variety of choral pieces composed during the American Civil War or thematically related to it, to our beloved Appalachia, and to the history and culture of America in the nineteenth century.
