Peggy Boatwright
Peggy Boatwright, 83, a resident of Elkins, departed this life early Wednesday morning, Jan. 28, 2015, at her home. She had been in declining health.
She was born Friday, July 10, 1931, at Japan.
She was married to Harold Raymond Boatwright, who preceded her in death during 1984.
Surviving are one son, Roger Glen Boatwright and wife, Susie, of Elkins; two grandchildren, Christopher and Tanner Boatwright, both of Elkins; and several brothers and sisters in Japan.
She attended the schools of Japan, was a homemaker, had previously volunteered with the U.S. Army and actively volunteered for Elkins High School Athletic Boosters while her son played football.
At Mrs. Boatwright’s request, there will be a private family gathering and a graveside service. Interment will follow in American Legion’s Little Arlington Cemetery at Cravensdale.
The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of contributions to the Elkins High School Football Team, 100 Kennedy Drive, Elkins, WV 26241.
