Timothy Allen Poling Jr., 33, of Philippi, died Tuesday afternoon, April 3, 2018, of injuries received as a result of a motor vehicle accident.
He was born June 5, 1984, in Jacksonville, Florida, the only child of Timothy Allen Sr. and Robin Ann (Garrett) Poling, who survive at Philippi.
On Jan. 7, 2017, he married the former Erynn Dawn Johnson, who survives at their home.
Also surviving are two daughters, Aubrey Dawn Poling, Philippi and Timberlynn Nash Poling, at home; his paternal grandmother, Edith Wanda (McDonald) Poling, Belington; and his maternal grandmother, Rosemarie Garrett, Edgewood, Maryland.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Donald Gene Poling; and by his maternal grandfather, Rolfe Allen Garrett.
Mr. Poling was a 2002 graduate of Philip Barbour High School and had attended Fairmont State University studying criminal justice. He also held an HVAC license. He was employed as a truck driver by Ace Pipeline and as an HVAC technician with Andy’s Heating and Air Conditioning. He was a devoted husband and father and loved spending time with family and friends . He was an avid golfer and hunter.
Mr. Poling’s remains will be cremated. Plans for a memorial service are currently incomplete.
