Mrs. Lois Jean Delauder "Jeannie" Fenstermacher, 78, a resident of Junior, departed this life Sunday evening, March 15, 2020, in the Ruby Memorial Hospital at Morgantown.

She was born Aug. 26, 1941, at Belington, a daughter of the late Russell and Dorotha Lee Fitzwater Delauder.

On July 20, 1979, she was united in marriage to Guy Edward Fenstermacher, who survives at their home in Junior.

She is survived by one daughter; Laura Jean Hart and husband Jeff of Philippi, one sister; Linda Beard and husband Arnold of Belington, three grandchildren; Alexander "Alex" Riggins Wilson, Owen Allen Hart and Naomi Jean Hart.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a stepson; Kevin Owen Fenstermacher.

Jeannie was a 1959 graduate of the Belington High School and had taken classes through the Medical Records Association. She worked several years at Broaddus Hospital in medical records retiring as the director of Medical Records. She was a longtime member of the Westside United Methodist Church in Belington, but more recently was attending the Tacy Cross Roads United Methodist Church, where she became very active. While attending there, she was a member of the United Methodist Women's Group, the Prayer Shawl Ministry and sang in the choir. Jeannie was the main organizer of her high school class reunions, a member of the American Medical Records Association, and former member of the Belington Public Library Board. She was a devout Christian and read her Bible every day. She loved to use her riding tractor to mow her yard, and took great pride in that. She loved her grandchildren very much and loved to spend all the time she could with them. Jeannie was a wonderful lady and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Friends will be received at the Talbott Funeral Home, 56 N. Brandenburg St. in Belington on Thursday, March 19, from 6 to 9 p.m. and again on Friday from 8 to 11 a.m., the funeral hour, when final rites will be conducted from the funeral chapel with the Rev. Dina Andrews and Pastor Johnny Paul Williams II officiating. Interment will follow in the Fraternal Cemetery near Belington.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Belington Elementary School Cancer Fund, 471 Morgantown Pike, Belington, WV 26250. Condolences can be made to the family at www.talbottfuneralhome.com.
