Harold P. ‘Hal’ Weese II


Harold P. “Hal” Weese II, 49, a resident of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away at his home Friday, Jan. 29, 2021, from a long-term illness.

He was born April 21, 1971, at Elkins, a son of Harold P. Weese of Elkins and the late Erda May Harman Weese.

Also surviving is his sister, Amanda J. Weese; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many distant relatives.

Hal graduated from Elkins High School with the class of 1989. He joined the United States Army and severed honorably from August 1989 to November 1995. His last duty station was Fort Campbell Kentucky with the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment, known as the Night Stalkers.

Hal was employed by Metro Nashville Department of Emergency Communications for the past 19 years, where he held many positions including: emergency telecommunications officer, emergency telecommunications training officer, information systems applications analyst and information systems advisor as of October 2020.

Hal dedicated his life to serving others. Hal’s request for cremation was honored in Nashville, Tennessee, and he has been transported home to Elkins.

A graveside service will be held at a later date to lay Hal to rest beside his mother in the Mouse Cemetery at Cravensdale.
