William Woodrow "Skip" Wilson II passed away peacefully Friday afternoon, March 19, 2021, in the West Virginia Caring Hospice House at Elkins.

Skip was born on May 20, 1951, at Elkins, to William Woodrow "Woody" Wilson 1st and Lois K. Robinson Wilson, who both preceded him in death.

Surviving are one son Christopher Wilson and fiancee, Molly, of Belington; one brother, Sherwood "Sherry" Wilson and wife, Debbie, of Christiansburg, Virginia; one sister Betty Lou McCauley and companion, Bob, of Thomasburg, Canada; two stepsons, Brian Jennings and wife, Devona, of Spring, Texas and Rick Jennings and wife, Angela, of Middle Fork; two stepgranddaughters; two stepgrandsons, one stepgreat-granddaughter, and several beloved nieces and nephews.

Skip's true passion in life was being a fireman and emergency medical technician in his hometown of Belington. Later in life, Skip was unable to be as active, but continued to be a treasured support member of the Belington Fire Department. Skip was employed for the State of West Virginia for over 30 years, with that time being split between the Liquor Commission, the Department of Highways, and most recently the Division of Motor Vehicles. Skip's most recent hobby was his recliner, sitting with his two granddogs, Blaze and Libby.

Friends will be received at the Talbott Funeral Home 56 Brandenburg Street in Belington on Monday March 22, 2021, from 5-9 p.m. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic face coverings are required in the funeral home while paying your respects.

Per Skips request, cremation will follow. The interment of his cremains will be in the Fraternal Cemetery near Belington at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Belington Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 515 Belington, WV in memory of "Skip".
