Robert Leonard “Bob” Scott, 78, a resident of Coalton, passed from this life Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2021, at his residence.
Bob was born June, 29, 1943 at Coalton, West Virginia, a son of the late Charles K. Scott and the late Mary L. Phillips Scott.
He was married to Rosalee White Scott, who preceded him in death Feb. 19, 2020.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, daughters, Mary Beth Sparks and husband, John, of Dailey, West Virginia, Kimberly Ann Bennett and husband, Jon, of Jimtown, West Virginia, Bobbi Jean George and husband, Randy, of Coalton, West Virginia and Eleanora Marie Cummings and husband, Michael, Flatwoods, of West Virginia; brothers, Richard Scott and James D. Scott, all of Coalton, West Virginia, and Robert L. Scott, of Moorfield, West Virginia. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Mr. Scott was preceded in death by a daughter, Jacqueline Scott White, brothers, John K. Scott and Frankie Scott, sisters, Eleanor Zirkle and Ann Teter; and a granddaughter, Amber Cummings.
Bob attended the schools or Randolph County and was a beteran of the United Stated Army. He was employed as a coalminer for many years prior to his retirement and was a longtime member and president of the Roaring Creek Hunting Club.
Bob’s request for cremation will be honored.
