Richard Darrell Kirkpatrick, 75, a resident of Elkins, passed from this life Saturday, May 28, 2022, at Elkins Rehabilitation and Care Center.
Richard was born Wednesday, Dec. 11, 1946, in Baltimore, Maryland, a son of the late Ernest Edgar Kirkpatrick and Evelyn Etta Mae White Kirkpatrick. He had never married.
Left to cherish Richard's memory is one sister, Rachel Reed and husband, Robert, of Whitmer; four nieces, Robin Coberly of Elkins, Roxanna Cooper of Elkins, Sheila Bair of Baltimore, Maryland, and Angela Kirkpatrick of Hambleton; several great nieces; one great- nephew; and several great- great-nieces and great-great- nephews whom he dearly loved and displayed pictures of throughout his apartment.
Preceding Richard in death besides his parents were three siblings, Edgar Kirkpatrick, Erma Booth and Samuel "Wayne" Kirkpatrick.
Richard attended the schools of Baltimore, Maryland, and had worked for the City of Baltimore. He and his brother Wayne worked together in construction for many years until Wayne's death.
Richard's request for cremation will be honored. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
The Randolph Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements for Richard Darrell Kirkpatrick.
