Kenneth Ray Trail Sr.

Mr. Kenneth Ray Trail Sr., 71, a resident of Elkins, departed this life Friday, Dec. 23, 2022, in the Genesis Health Care Center at Glenville, West Virginia. Death was following a period of declining health.

He was born Sept. 3, 1951, at Norfolk, Virginia, a son of the late Woodward Nicholson and Jacqueline Gross Trail.

On Feb. 22, 1980, at Belington, he was united in marriage to the former Anna Grace Warrner, who survives at their home in Elkins.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Kenneth Trail Jr. and wife, Jamie, of Elkins, Matthew Trail and wife, Nickala, of Elkins, and Joshua Trail of Elkins; and one daughter, Sara Arbogast and husband, Jamie, of Elkins.

Additional survivors include three brothers, Woody Trail and wife, Joyce, of Elkins, John Trail and wife, Josephine, of Texas, and Tim Trail and wife, Edna, of South Carolina; one sister, Clarissa Bosley and husband, Calvin, of Delaware; a sister-in-law, Shelia Trail of South Carolina; and 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, James Lee Trail; and one sister, Carol Sue Trail.

Mr. Trail attended the schools of Virginia and West Virginia. He previously worked for the City of Elkins and he had formerly worked as a night watchman for General Electric in North Carolina before becoming disabled. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and a gun enthusiast. He was a Christian by faith and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Friends will be received at the Talbott Funeral Home, 56 N. Brandenburg Street in Belington, on Saturday Dec. 31, 2022, from noon to 2 p.m., the funeral hour, when final rites will be conducted from the Funeral Home Chapel with the Pastor Mike House officiating.

Interment will then follow in the Stringtown Cemetery near Belington.
