Cora Lea Nucilli, 81, of Elkins, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born July 11, 1941, in Junior, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Walter Estle and late Phyllis Corley.
On June 17, 1958, she was united in marriage to Joseph Andrew Nucilli Sr., who precedes her in death. Together, they celebrated 59 years of love, family and marriage.
She is survived by one sister, Linda Ketterman of Beverly, West Virginia.
Cora is survived by five daughters and one son, Annette Gadd and husband, Ron, Brenda Hornick and husband, Tim, Lisa Wamsley and husband,, Todd, Cindy Negray and husband John, Joseph Nucilli Jr. and wife, Robin, and Jennifer Shreve and husband, Bill.
She was preceded in death by one infant daughter, Rebecca Jo Nucilli.
She is also survived by five grandsons and four granddaughters, Melissa Chewning, Michelle Chewning (fiance Chris), Seth Hornick (fiance Kelly), Matthew Wamsley (wife Tasha), Jessica Severino (husband Anthony), Andrew Wamsley (wife Sarah), Brett Shreve (wife Courtney), Christina Negray and Tyler Shreve.
She also has nine great- grandchildren, Brayden, Jayce, Sophia, Harper, Isaiah, Nico, Ivie, Everett and Ellis.
She also has several special nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, husband and daughter, Cora was preceded in death by one brother, Junior Corley; one sister, Ann Phares; and one infant great-granddaughter, Ila Ruth Shreve.
Cora attended Elkins High School and was a homemaker. Cora loved her family first and foremost. She cherished the time they spent together on the beach at the Outer Banks. She also loved flowers, working in the garden and the Hallmark Channel. Her bright smile, infectious laugh and warm hugs will be treasured by those who loved her dearly.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 27, 2023, at Saint Brendan Catholic Church in Elkins, with Father James E. O'Connor as the Celebrant. Interment will follow in Saint Brendan Cemetery.
The family would like to invite friends and family after the burial service for a luncheon at the Fellowship Hall.
