BOLTON
Mr. Craig Felton Bolton Jr., 88, a resident of Belington, departed this life early Wednesday morning, March 29, 2023, at his home. Death was following a period of declining health.
Mr. Bolton was born Nov. 17, 1934, at Detroit, Michigan, a son of the late Craig Felton Bolton Sr. and Hilla Vale Wilson Bolton.
On July 29, 1954 he was united in marriage to the former Janet Belle Hinkle, who preceded him in death on Aug. 7, 2021.
He is survived by two sons, Craig F. Bolton III of Belington and Roger Lee Bolton and wife, Sabrina, of Elkins; three sisters, Carole Faye Jasman and husband, Jim, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Sharon Kaye Bolton of Huntington, West Virginia, and Jamie Kiszka and husband, Drew, of Morgantown; and one brother, David M. Bolton and wife, Kim, of Belington.
Additional survivors include two granddaughters, Kristin Bolton Johnson and husband, Barrett, of Belington; Alaina Beeson-Bertelli and husband, Jason, of Belington; great-grandchildren, twins Thaddeus and Connor and Alessia, all of Belington; and his K-9 companion, Linda.
Mr. Bolton was a 1952 graduate of the Belington High School and attended West Virginia University and Davis & Elkins College. Craig had formerly worked for the Chrysler Corporation as a service and warranty development specialist. He was the owner and operator of Town and Country Chrysler Dodge (formerly Bolton Motors) in Belington. He was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Belington, where he had held many offices over the years, including the office of Deacon. He was a former member of the Belington Kiwanis Club and served as president in the 1978-79 year. He was a lifetime aviation enthusiast and licensed pilot. He belonged to the Experimental Aircraft Association and the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, and was very proud of being Captain of the Civil Air Patrol. Craig was an all-around motorsports enthusiast, and an antique MOPAR car collector. He was a wonderful father, grandfather, great-grandfather, husband, brother and friend. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Friends will be received from The Talbott Funeral Home, 56 N. Brandenburg Street in Belington, on Saturday April 1, 2023, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the funeral hour, when final rites will be conducted from the Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Julie Miller officiating.
Interment will follow in the Fraternal Cemetery near Belington.
