Mrs. Rosemary Elaine Pomp Ware, 76, a resident of Belington, departed this life Wednesday morning, April 26, 2023, in Mon Health Medical Center at Morgantown. Death was following a period of declining health.
She was born on Nov. 24, 1946, in Randolph County, West Virginia, a daughter of the late William “Bill” and Madeline Hope Himes Pomp.
In August of 1975, she was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” Ware, who survives at their home.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, William A. “Bill” Ware and fiance, Lori Wilson, of Preston County; one daughter, Amanda Ware of Belington; two sisters, Judy Gunn and Robin Pomp, both of Belington; two brothers, Mike Pomp and wife, Beuna, of Belington, and Steven Hayes and wife, Anna Marie, of North Carolina; and a special nephew, Stevie Pomp of Belington.
Additional survivors include several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Vicky D. Pomp.
Rosemary was a graduate from Philip Barbour High School and a member of the Westside United Methodist Church in Belington. She was owner and operator of Rosemary’s Magic Touch Beauty Salon in Belington for many years. She loved the outdoors and camping and enjoyed reading. She loved and enjoyed her family and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A private family visitation will be held at the Talbott Funeral Home, 56 N. Brandenburg Street in Belington, on Saturday, April 29, 2023, from noon to 2 p.m. and a private service will be conducted from the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m., with Pastor Judy Flynn officiating.
Interment will follow in the Fraternal Cemetery near Belington.
