Gregory ‘Greg’ Alan Waybright

Gregory “Greg” Alan Waybright, 60, a resident of Whitmer, passed from this life Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at home. Although he had been in declining health, death was unexpected.
Greg was born Friday, June 15, 1962, in Stuttgart, Germany, a son of the late Edgar VanBuren Waybright and Carol Ann Swecker Waybright.
He was married to the former Julie Hedrick, who survives.
Also left to cherish Greg’s memory are two sons, Jonathan Waybright and wife, Mariah, of Elkins, and Michael Pennington and wife, Jessica, of Whitmer; one sister, Anita Miller of Elkins; four brothers, Clark Waybright of Elkins, Marty Waybright and wife, Christina, of Belington, Rodney Calvin and fiance, Tabbitha, of Philippi, and Wayne Calvin of Ohio; six grandchildren, Graycelynne, Maddelynne, Presley, Katie, Hailey and Isabella; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding Greg in death besides his parents is one granddaughter, Emmalee Pennington.
Greg attended the schools of Randolph County. He had worked for Asplundh as a tree trimmer for 25 years and for WV Dept of Highways as a plow truck driver for 10 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding his motorcycle. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Visitation will be held at Randolph Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, from noon until 1 p.m., the funeral hour.
Greg’s request for cremation will then be honored.
