Philip McKinley Graham, 50, a resident of Beverly, passed from this life Sunday, May 14, 2023, at home. He had been in his usual health and death was unexpected.
Phil was born Friday, May 26, 1972, in Elkins, a son of Delmos Roy Graham Sr. and Luceba “Lucy” Emma Howell Graham of Beverly.
On Nov. 26, 1990, he married the former Tonya Barr, who survives at home.
Also left to cherish his memory is his only child, Philip McKinley Graham II and wife, Shauntay Channell; one grandson, McKinley Jordan Graham; three siblings, Delmos Roy Graham Jr. and wife, Kellie, Paulah Jean Lee and husband, Ryan, and Kathy Lynn Graham and husband, Justin White; nieces and nephews, Delmos III, Garrett, Matthew, Madison, Jaymin, Jordan, Jaxton, Kinzley and Matthew; in- laws, Jennis and Robert McCauley and James Barr II; and one sister-in-law, Chasidy Rush and husband, Jody.
Phil attended the schools of Randolph County and then joined the United States Army, where he excelled in sharp shooting. He received an award for highest marksman. He was most recently employed as a truck driver for KC Trucking. Phil was a passionate outdoorsman. Philip was a gifted mechanic, offering a helping hand to anyone in need. He showed love through acts of generosity and kindness. Spending time with his family was everything to Phil. His passing now leaves a tremendous hole in the family.
A visitation will be held at Randolph Funeral Home Friday, May 19, 2023, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., the funeral hour. Interment will follow in the Howell Family Cemetery on Beaver Creek Road in Beverly.
