Steven M. ‘Steve’ Ross

Steve was born April 9, 1959, at Baltimore, Maryland, a son of the late Joseph Ross and Loeta Isner Ross, who survives.

On Nov. 20, 1982, in Washington, D.C., he married Diana Marie Burke, who survives in Elkins.

Also surviving are two sons, Evan Michael Ross of Bend, Oregon, and Ryan Burke Ross of Atlanta, Georgia

Two brothers, Joseph Paul Ross, of Annapolis, Maryland, and John Alan Ross of Winchester, Virginia, also survive.

Steve was a graduate of Elkins High School with the class of 1977. He later graduated from West Virginia University and obtained a Master’s Degree in Accounting. He was employed as the Chief Financial Officer for Tropical Telecom in Haiti at the time of his death.

Steve loved travelling and was an avid fisherman. He supported causes in Haiti, especially schools and orphanages.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Friday, May 12, 2023, at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, from the funeral home, chapel with Deacon Raymond Godwin officiating. Interment will follow in St. Brendan Cemetery.
