Emmajean Vandall

Emmajean Vandall, 90, of Buckhannon, West Virginia, died Sunday, July 23, 2023, at WVU Medicine United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, West Virginia.

She was born July 23, 1933, in Summers County, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Emmitt and Wanda Nelley Redden.

On April 23, 1952, she married Denville L. Vandall, who preceded her in death on April 30, 2022.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Billy Joe Vandall.

She is survived by one son, Donald Vandall of Buckhannon; three grandsons, Donald Vandall Jr., of Buckhannon, Robert DeMark of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Frank Joas of Davis, West Virginia; one granddaughter, Alyssa Lubonski of Buckhannon; one great-granddaughter, Alitia Ryland of Buckhannon; one brother, Gary Redden of Hammington, New Jersey; and one sister, Betsy Mullins of West Virginia.

Mrs. Vandall was a Registered Nurse and a Christian. Mrs. Vandall was a volunteer for 25 years for the EMS in Franklinville, New Jersy. She drove school bus for the Delsea Regional High School and helped with boy scouts groups 21 in Franklinville and troop 100 in Buckhannon. Additionally, she worked at Sharps Hospital in Weston, West Virginia, for many years.

Friends will be received Monday, July 31, 2023, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. In honoring Mrs. Vandall’s wishes, she will be cremated following the visitation.
