Jerry B. Miller

MILLER

Mr. Jerry B. Miller, 81, a resident of Belington, West Virginia, departed this life Sunday July 9, 2023, surrounded by friends and family under the loving care of the St. Joseph Nursing Facility. Death was following a period of declining health.

He was born on Oct. 16, 1941, at St. George, Tucker County, West Virginia, a son of the late Clair Ardell and Blonda June Nestor Miller.

On March 4, 1961, at Bainbridge, Georgia, he was united in marriage to the former Barbara Ann Wheeler, who survives at their home.

He is survived by three children, Tammy Kaye Webster and husband, Paul, of Bruceton Mills, Ricky Dale Miller and wife, April, of Hendricks, West Virginia, and Patrick Shaun Miller and wife, Lisa, of Belington; two sisters, Joy Fansler of Hambleton, West Virginia, and Janet Tully and husband, Dick, of Louisville, Kentucky; two sisters-in-law, Debbie Miller of St. George, West Virginia, and Sandy Miller of Maryland.

Additional survivors include four grandchildren, Brendan Clair Miller, Olivia Hope Miller, Gracie Laurel Miller and Lily Kate Miller; and two great-grandchildren, Milliana Gale Miller and Nova Clair Miller.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Jack Miller, James Miller, his twin brother that passed at birth, and Harry Elton Miller; and a brother-in-law, Paul Fansler.

Jerry was a graduate from the Parsons High School with the class of 1957. He was previously employed as a police officer in Florida, and then moved back to West Virginia, where he was employed as a car salesman, working at various car dealerships in the area for more than 40 years. Lastly, he was employed with St. Joseph Hospital in Buckhannon as a security guard for more than 18 years from which he retired. Jerry loved to farm and garden alongside his wife and took great pride in taking care of his property, always making it look neat. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Per Jerry's request, cremation will be honored.

Family will receive friends at the Talbott Funeral Home, 56 N. Brandenburg Street in Belington, on Saturday, July 22, 2023, from noon to 2 p.m., the funeral hour, when final rites will be conducted from the funeral home chapel with the Pastor Nathan Forbes officiating. Interment of his cremains will be at a later date.
