Lovie Jean ‘Jeanie’ Ware Snyder

Mrs. Lovie Jean “Jeanie” Ware Snyder, 80, a longtime resident of Junior, passed away at her home on Saturday morning, July 29, 2023. Death was following a period of declining health.
She was born on Nov. 13, 1942, at Junior, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Omar O. and Dicie Bell Browning Ware.
On April 6, 1963, she was united in marriage to Joe Dent Snyder, who preceded her in death on Dec. 10, 2008.
She is survived by two sons, Ronald Snyder and wife, Christina, of Junior, West Virginia, and Rodney Snyder and wife, Dawn, of Charles Town, West Virginia; and one daughter, Debbie Snyder and companion, Jamie Jenkins, of North Carolina.
Additional survivors include two grandsons, Jackson and Rhett,; two granddaughters, Samantha and Holly; and three great- grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Clovis Ware and Nelson Ware; and two sisters, Leona Proudfoot and Norma Westfall.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Jeanie attended the schools of Barbour County, graduating from the Belington High School with the class of 1960. She was formerly employed by Valley Supply in Elkins, West Virginia, and was a devout mother and homemaker. Before her decline in health, she loved to sew, quilt and do ceramics. She loved her flowers and tending to them, and was a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Friends will be received at the Talbott Funeral Home, 56 N. Brandenburg Street in Belington, on Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2023, from 6 to 8 p.m. and again on Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2023, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., the funeral hour, when final rites will be conducted from the funeral home chapel with Pastor Rick Williams officiating.
Interment will follow in the Talbott Cemetery near Belington.
