Margaret ‘Margie’ Ann Heaton Ball

Margaret “Margie” Ann Heaton Ball, 74, a resident of Rivesville passed from this life Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at her home. She had been in her usual health and death was unexpected.

Margie was born Monday, March 7, 1949, in Wheeling, a daughter of the late Bernard Joseph Heaton and Catherine Elizabeth Workenhour Heaton.

On Jan. 16, 1971, in Tridelphia, she was married to Roy Lee Ball, who survives. They had celebrated 52 years of marriage.

Also left to cherish Margie’s memory two daughters, Tamie Glotfelty and husband, Brett, of Fairview, and Erin Parker and husband, Brian, of Rivesville; four grandchildren, Lane Arbogast and wife, Elizabeth, Kailee Beckman, Kaden Ball and Haley Parker; three great-grandchildren, Isaac Arbogast, Emmalee Arbogast and Avaleigh Beckman; and several nieces and nephews.

Margie was the last surviving member of her immediate family having been preceded in death by three brothers, Robert Heaton, John Heaton and Timothy Heaton, and one sister, Eileen Griffith.

Margie was a graduate of Wheeling Catholic High School with the class of 1967. She had worked in the medical field as a receptionist and medical assistant, having last worked with Garrett Medical Group in Oakland, Maryland.

She loved spending time with her family and friends and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed going out to eat and traveling. She was truly one of a kind, and she will be missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held at Randolph Funeral Home on Friday from 5 until 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at 11 a.m. Pastor Doug Cyphers will officiate, and interment will follow in Swecker Cemetery at Brady Gate.
