Patricia Ruth "Pat" Hamrick, 75, a resident of Elkins and a patient in the Elkins Rehabilitation & Care Center, passed away Tuesday evening, July 11, 2023, in the Emergency Department of the Davis Medical Center in Elkins.
he was born December 31, 1947, at Elkins, a daughter of the late Haymond D. Spicer and the late Dora Skidmore Spicer.
She was formerly married to Tommy Ray Hamrick, who survives in Elkins.
Also surviving are four sons, Tommy Hamrick and wife, Kathy, of Elkins, Richard Hamrick and wife, Lavonne, of Montrose, Kenny Hamrick and wife, Sandy, of Elkins and Brian Hamrick of Beverly; two brothers, Robin Spicer and Mark Spicer, both of Elkins; and one sister, Diane Jackson of Elkins.
Eight grandchildren, Trevor, Trenton, Tanner, Tyler, Alexis, Nicholas, Ashley and Austin; and four great- grandchildren, Jamison, Lilliana, Maisie and Graydon also survive and one great-granddaughter, Memphis, will be born in August.
In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by one brother, Guy Spicer.
Pat retired after 21 years of service from the Davis Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles in Elkins.
Pat's request for cremation will be honored.
The Hamrick family will receive friends from noon until 2 p.m., Sunday, July 16, 2023, at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins.
At 2 p.m. on Sunday, a memorial service will be held from the funeral home chapel with Pastor Susan Metzner officiating.
