U.S. Army Veteran Clem Emory Stewart Jr., son of the late Clem and Vada Stewart of Elkins West Virginia, passed away on Aug. 15, 2023, in Elkins.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Mary and Joseph Smith, Edna and Sampson Stewart; and one aunt and uncle, Juanita and Owen Smith.
Clem is survived by his wife of 50 years, Beverly (Allender) Stewart; and his two sons, Clem Emory Stewart lll and wife ,Cheryl, and Travis Shane Stewart and wife, Jamerrill; 18 grandchildren, Zach, Robert, Maya, Reese, Lia, Quentin, Bryce, Brandon, Jadin, and his wife Meg, Zion, Naomi, Gabriel, Liam, Amelia, Daniel, Benjamin and Tobin; one great-grandson, William; siblings, Tom and wife, Nancy Smith, Patty and husband, Mitchell Haney, Joseph Stewart and sons, Michael and Kevin, Linda and husband, Ricky Kesner, and Barbara Stewart.
Clem loved music, working on cars, TV, sports, kitty’s and debating everyone he talked to.
Clem’s request for cremation was honored following his wishes to be able to donate organs, tissue and corneas in order to help others.

Clem’s life will be celebrated with a small group of close friends and family. A service will be held at the Refuge Church in Gilman Monday, Aug. 21, 2023, at 5 p.m. and there will be a dinner to follow.
