Deloris Lee Sibley

Deloris Lee Sibley, 83, of Lerona, died Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2023, in Princeton.

Born April 16, 1940, at Elkins, she was the daughter of the late Okey Lee McQuain and Lillian Wyatt McQuain Breeden.

Deloris was a graduate of Wheaton High School in Maryland and a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a very active member of Cornerstone Family Church in Princeton. Deloris served as a support member for East River Mountain, Bikers for Christ. She loved studying as well teaching God's Holy Word, not only did she direct plays, but she also composed the playwright for the reenactment play for downtown Princeton. She and her husband, Tracy, founded Highlands Youth for Christ/Campus Lite Clubs at Elkins High, Elkins Junior High, Buckhannon High and Tygarts Valley High for nine years in the 1970s.

Deloris loved working in her flower garden.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded by a daughter, Nianne Sibley, along with one brother Paul David McQuain.

Survivors include her devoted husband of 65 years, A. Tracy Sibley; one son, Tracy D. Sibley; and eight grandchildren, Adam Sibley, Allison Benner, Shane Sibley, Anna Lee Sibley, DeSean Sibley, Daffanie Colin Ferari, Devon Sibley and Kiairah Sibley.

Several great-grandchildren also survive.

A homegoing celebration of life service will be held at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2023, at the Cornerstone Family Church on Brick Street in Princeton, with Pastor Scott Catron officiating.

Friends may visit with the family from 6 p.m. until the service hour at the church.

The family has requested in lieu of flowers, gifts can be made to East River Mountain Bikers for Christ, 254 Greyhound Lane, Athens WV 24712.
