Edward Lee Scott

Ed was born Tuesday, Feb. 11, 1932, in Mill Creek, a son of the late Walter Scott and Nellie Herron Scott.

On April 4, 1980, he married the former Charlotte Leona Coberly, who survives. They had celebrated 43 years of marriage.

Also left to cherish Ed’s memory are two sons, Eddie Scott Jr, of North Carolina and Roger Scott and wife, Nina, of Leavittsburg, Ohio; three daughters, Colleen Kyer and Ginger Jewell and husband, Delmas, all of Ohio, and Brittany Bonner and husband, Jeremy, of Elkins; one brother, Fred Wegman of Beverly; four sisters, Josephine Barton and Mary Bennett, both of Elkins, and Ernestine Sharp and Lorena Huffnagel, both of Beverly; 14 grandchildren, Jacqueline, Amanda, Jeffrey, Andrew, Brandy, Tiffany, Rodney, Dwayne, Derek, Tiffany, Belinda, Jackie, Tiffany and Ronald; and several great-grandchildren, great- great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Preceding Ed in death besides his parents were two sons, Donald Scott and Zachary Scott; and one brother, Raymond Scott.

Ed attended the schools of Randolph County and had worked in several area sawmills before going to work for Harbison Walker International in Warren, Ohio, from where he retired.

Ed was a Christian.

Funeral services will be held at Randolph Funeral Home on Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2023, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m, the funeral hour.

Interment will follow at Mountain State Memorial Gardens, where members of the H.W. Daniels Post 29, American Legion, the Tygarts Valley Post 3647, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the WV Honor Guard will conduct full military honors.

The Randolph Funeral Home and Cremation Services has been entrusted with the arrangements for Edward Lee Scott.
